AMETEK Electronic Components & Packaging will be presenting updated performance test data for the SMPS hermetic RF connector at the upcoming OFC Exhibition and Conference in Los Angeles on 21-23 March.
The SMPS is the latest addition to AMETEK ECP’s SMPx Series of hermetic, push-on and blind-mate RF connectors, which includes the SMP and SMPM connectors.
The SMPx Series was unveiled at last year’s OFC Exhibition and Conference. The SMPS is smaller than the SMPM connector which makes it an ideal choice for high density packaging and multiport applications. The SMPS is capable of frequencies up to 65 GHz, exceeding the 40 GHz maximum frequency of the SMPM connector.
