Solder and brazing preforms

  • Standard square, rectangular and disc-shaped preforms are available. AMETEK ECP also designs and produces a wide variety of custom preform shapes in-house.

  • Over 100 completely lead-free alloys to choose from: Gold, silver, tin, zinc, antimony, copper, indium, iron, molybdenum, nickel, tungsten, Kovar™, germanium, palladium, platinum and more.

Metal microstamping

  • Applications: Jumper chips, bonding pads, covers, heat sinks, lead frames, tabs, terminals and more.

  • Materials: Kovar™, molybdenum, tungsten, copper Silvar™, Silvar-K™ and more.

  • AMETEK ECP primarily manufactures two-dimensional microstampings, but we can produce custom three-dimensional products as well. Please inquire for more information regarding feasibility and pricing.

Wire and ribbon

  • High-purity gold wire is available in diameters as small as 12.5 microns.

  • Fine high-performance copper wire balls available up to 75 microns (0.0003 inch) diameter. Standard high-performance copper wire available up to 250 microns (0.01 inch).

  • Nickel-coated aluminum wire resists corrosion.

  • Gold ribbon available in a variety of dimensions, strengths and elongations.

  • Aluminum bonding ribbon requires fewer bonds and dissipates heat effectively.

Blind-mate RF connectors

  • SMP connectors: Subminiature designs, PO-compatible and MIL-STD 348 compliant. Standard high frequency up to 26.5 GHz.

  • SMPM connectors: subminiature micro design, PPO-compatible and MIL-STD 348 compliant. Maximum frequency to 40 GHz.

  • SMPS connectors: subminiature sub-micro design and 3PO-compatible. Maximum frequency to 65 GHz.

  • All connectors listed are customizable according to multiport configuration, body length, and pin extensions and terminations.
